Nefarious Realm Productions is a Boston based media company focusing on metal, hardcore, rock, and extreme genres providing news, reviews, and feature pieces covering music, art, and lifestyle through mainstream, underground and cult communities. We keep a concentration on a local scene, not just the national, all while covering bands and news throughout the world. Our goal is to keep you informed of the bands and music you love and to enlighten you to new music along with informing you of the latest events, happenings, and offerings.Diversity is a main focus, spanning genres and subgenres, from Brutal Death Metal to Shoegaze, Stoner Rock to Crossover. There’s something for everybody and we encourage to look around and lend your ears to something you have never heard of. We know that people are not acceptable to all genres and styles, so we took effort into giving visitors options to break down what they view all while still offering ways to explore. We avoid gossip, rumors, and generally lame content that is based on drama and merely created to have you click on their website. We are not the CNN or the TMZ of metal, we’re more like the National Geographic of extreme music. We don’t only follow mainstream trends, we divulge into the depths of the underground and the unknown. We do not base everything on opinions, but actual facts. We believe in at least being neutral, if not positive, because it’s just like, an opinion, man. We concentrate on what is important, the music, along with who creates it and who took part to shape it and release it.Expect to find the most comprehensive and complete details within virtually every post, most with streaming content to listen as you read. Know who the band recorded with, when it will come out, through which label, and links to where to snag those limited physical copies along with tour dates all within the same post. While we are mainly internet based, we have dabbled in the past with booking shows, and we even have our own boutique vinyl label, Threshold of Pain Records and have plans to issue other physical and print offerings.
